Magical Memory Monday's - Disney's Electrical Parade

When Disney first announced that they were bringing back The Electrical Parade I was pretty excited.  This was the parade I saw on my first trip to Walt Disney World!  Not long after that - maybe 30 seconds later as I read the details I realized that the parade would be GONE before my next trip

I spent much time in the secret realms of my mind trying to figure out how I could sneak down there before it was gone again.  Eventually I realized I was going to miss it.  THEN Disney announced they were going to extend it.  People had been bursting out in spontaneous clapping and were so overjoyed to relive childhood memories - well how could they pull such a Magical Memory away so quickly.

So during UFT 2010 I stood proudly through Disney's Electrical Parade remembering that first time in high school when I was intrigued and awestruck by this parade.    I not only relived my childhood memories but stood next to my son, daughter and niece as they watched it for the first time.  It was amazing and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Do you remember Disney's Electrical Parade?  Ready to relive childhood memories and make some new ones?  I'd love to take the stress out of planning a Magical Vacation for you Contact me today!

Continuing Education - I love my job!

Friday was a good day in the mail for me! I found two packages waiting - one I was expecting, one I really wasn't.

This first one I opened turned out to be my Reward for completing an on-line training course. As your travel agent I am continually learning everything I can about the destinations I sell. The Disney Learning Connection is just one place I frequent. When I completed the Disney Cruise Line course "Sailing to Success" it said a Reward Benefit will be sent to you. Hmmmmm I finished the course in December prior to my preview sailing on The Disney Dream. I had pretty much forgotten I was supposed to receive a "reward". So this was a nice little surprise.

Besides learning as much as possible about the destinations I sell I am also required to travel to them. I waited a long time to choose my career! In preparation for my very FIRST visit to Disneyland I have completed all the online courses available and I need to study up by reading different books. I've read Passporters Disneyland and someone very dear to me swears by the Unofficial Guide, so I ordered the Disneyland 2011. I must say here - that UPS does a much better job when it comes to timely shipping than Fed Ex....just sayin'.

I'm excited to dig into this book and find out
what Magical Memories await me at Disneyland!

Isn't it time to make some Magical Memories with your loved ones?

Magical Memory Monday - Sweet 16 at Walt Disney World

The Magical Memory I'd like to share with you today is from
The Ultimate Field Trip 2009.

My daughters birthday is in September and we've attended The Ultimate Field Trip since 2006, however we don't always celebrate it at Disney.  I know we could, and birthday's are super special there, but if we did it every time then it wouldn't be so Magical.  So we celebrated her 13th birthday at Walt Disney World in 2006 (never thinking we'd be back again) and it wasn't until I got together with her best friends Mom that I came up with the idea that maybe the girls should celebrate both their 16th birthday's at Walt Disney World.  Us Mom's made a plan way back in April that we would tell the girls they were going to celebrate their 16th birthday's at Walt Disney World on Taylor's birthday in July, and well.......  we kept the secret for MONTHS.  Aren't we GOOD!

We made tons of magical memories - here are a few highlights

What are these two girls doing posing with a garbage can you ask yourself?  Well this isn't any ordinary garbage can - this is PUSH the talking garbage can that wanders around The Magic Kingdom - usually Tomorrowland and yes, talks to you!  Isn't it cute that they bent down to be closer to his face- LOL

Right after we took this photo Push said - "Put that one up on your Facebook girls"

Of course we celebrated everywhere we could - with special dining events and I even surprised them by decorating the window of our room.

Unfortunately this magical 16th Birthday Celebration  had to come to an end
Goodbye Magic Kingdom, til we meet again!

Magical Memories can be made everyday at
Walt Disney World
Let's get busy planning yours!

Disney Dream Staterooms

The Disney Dream has a variety of Stateroom options from Inside Staterooms to the Concierge Royal Suite! I'm sure you will find something to fit your needs!

Stateroom amenities include but are not limited to, tub/shower, flat screen TV, ample closet space, in-room safe, hair dryer, phone with voicemail and individual climate control.  Amenities can vary depending on stateroom location.

Disney has brought a view into even the inside staterooms with the Virtual Porthole!  The inside staterooms range in size from 169 to 204 square feet depending on category. This virtual porthole displays real time views of exactly what it looks like outside!  Now, if that wasn't amazing enough there's the special Disney touch - Disney characters fly by - or slide down the porthole.....  you never really know who might show up when you are looking outside!  When we toured this stateroom Dumbo flew by!

The Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom's large porthole window contains built in seating and really surprised me by it's size.  No standing on the bed to look out the tiny porthole window (my first cruise experience 27 years ago!). These rooms range in size from 204 to 241square feet depending on your category.

We stayed in the Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah  - 299 square feet to enjoy.  For a more in-depth look follow this link.

The concierge level staterooms are beautifully done ranging from the Concierge Family Oceanview with verandah at 306 square feet to the  Concierge 1-bedroom suite with verandah at 622 square feet.  They are loaded with amenities including connecting verandahs if you just happen to be right next to family or friends. For a look at Roy O. Disney's Royal Suite follow this link.

The Concierge Family Oceanview w/verandah  sleeps 5 with a queen-size bed, double convertible sofa and one wall single pull-down bed

The Concierge 1-Bedroom Suite w/verandah sleeps 5 as well.

Everything feels luxurious and naturally I wanted to try everything out.  I really enjoyed touring all these staterooms! Sitting here watching the latest Disney movies, glancing out over the ocean and feeling a wonderful breeze sure sounds wonderful to me ( we just got 23.9 inches of snow!)

Yes, indeed the views are splendid from here!

The Disney Dream is a perfect place to reconnect with your loved ones, relax and have a wonderful time.  Together we can plan a fabulous vacation!

Roy O. Disney Royal Suite - Disney Dream

As much as I loved my Deluxe Family Oceanview with Verandah stateroom I would have packed up immediately and moved to the Roy O Disney Suite if they had only asked!  I mean - this place went empty during our cruise - such a shame.  I would have let everyone tour it too!  1,781 square feet of pure luxury and fun!

I really wanted to just sit down, and for a moment pretend like a little girl, that I lived here and was having a party here!

At the foot of this bed was a flat screen TV built right into the foot board!  This card on the bed is a pillow MENU!  How awesome is that?

When I see this table I envision my family sitting there sharing in a wonderful vacation, laughing, eating, playing games and making plans for what we are going to do next!  I love being with them and think it would be awesome if we could stay here!

I felt like Goldilocks because I just wanted to try out all the comfy chairs, couches, beds and yes even the rain shower!

The Roy O. Disney Royal Suite is one of two signature royal suites on the Disney Dream.  You'll find walk in closets, two bathrooms including a master bath with whirlpool tub, rain shower and the ever important double sinks!  The media library, dining salon, pantry and wet bar will help you entertain or just relax.  The ocean views through floor-to-ceiling windows line the main living quarters and lead out to the private teakwood verandah.  I know your family will have a wonderful, relaxing and fun-filled vacation in this stateroom!

When you are ready to sail aboard The Disney Dream contact me and together we'll find the perfect stateroom for you to enjoy a wonderful vacation from!

Disney Dream - Cabanas

Early to rise for the EarMarked General Sessions payed off for me with some nice photos of Cabanas.  Cabanas is The Dreams Casual Dining area - buffet style. Located on deck 11 Aft.

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Anytime you don't feel like going to the dining rooms you can head here. I thought the nautical clocks displaying the times from various Disney Parks around the world were pretty cool!

Sweets anyone?  Hmmm.......  donuts or fruit........  donuts or fruit????  Okay, I took some of both.  I also helped myself to eggs - a bit undercooked and bacon, some fried potatoes and a host of other things.  This - not so into breakfast kinda gal found a huge variety to sample from.  Including hot and cold cereals with all types of toppings.  You can even find some deli meats and some raw fish.... at least that's what it looked like to me

The views were fabulous - OF COURSE!  There was plenty of room to sit and I liked that the silverware was wrapped in the napkin waiting for me at my table.  The drink stations were super clean - Did I mention how CLEAN everything was?  Everytime we came into a dining area they were handing us towelettes to wash our hands with and the counters were always sparkling!

I could easily sit here every morning and sip my coffee.........  WAIT I don't drink coffee!
